Chapter 2 Summary

The first person Kate sees when her dad drops her off at school the next day is her ex-best friend, Anna. Kate thinks about how nobody ever asked her why she and Anna aren't friends anymore. The only one who did, is another one of her friends, Will. While Will is talking to Kate in the hall, Anna and two of her friends walk by and ask if Will is going to go shirtless at the next pep rally. Will leans in to apologize to Kate about what happened between her and Anna, and Kate becomes slightly breathless. Kate admits to the reader that she's had some thoughts about being with Will.
