Chapter 15 Summary

Reacher drives to the Warburton prison, and manages to convince Spivey to come outside to see him. When Spivey comes out, he recognizes Jack and when Jack asks him what Friday was all about, Spivey doesn't answer. He says Morrison is dead, and Jack agrees, putting the assistant warden between himself and the guard. With encouragement from Morrison's engraved knife, Spivey admits that Morrison had called him and told him to arrange Hubble's death. Jack asks who is giving the orders, but Spivey sees the prison bus coming, and knows he can escape the predicament he's in. He doesn't answer and Jack leaves, heading back to Roscoe's place. He's ten minutes early for their meeting, but lays back in the Bentley and thinks about taking her across the state line to a bar.....
