Summary

In Chapter 19, Jane goes with Caleb to a gig. Caleb is playing at the Paradigm Pub with his friend Mitch. Jane meets some of Caleb’s friends. One girl named Michelle refuses to make eye contact with Jane and walks away from the table. Jane is left at the table with Caleb’s friends as he goes to set up with the band. Caleb’s friends make Jane feel old. Jane does not like the way Michelle looks at Caleb. This jealousy makes her start drinking. She learns from Caleb’s friend that Caleb and Michelle used to date. When the friend sees that this upsets Jane, he tells her that she has nothing to worry about with Caleb.

Michelle upsets Jane by making snide comments about her age. On a break, Caleb makes a comment about being glad that Jane is loosening...
