Chapter 21 Summary

Jesse points out that there is smoke coming from the room where the fish are fed. Jesse uses his powers to make the shutters on the window break off so they can escape the fire. They pick up Tad and try to throw him through the window and into the pool below. Susannah jumps in after Tad to save him from drowning, but Tad regains consciousness from the water. Red Beaumont steps out of the sliding glass door and tells them to get out of the pool because there is a fire in the house. Mrs. Fiske's ghost steps up to the window to greet Susannah.
