Chapter 20 Summary

As the wall of water gushing over Susannah subsides, she hears Jesse's voice calling her name. Susannah goes into the empty aquarium, confirming the room behind it is where the fish are fed. She picks up a flood light from the bottom of the now empty tank. Marcus pulls a small gun out of his jacket pocket. Susannah yanks the wires out of the light and throws them into the water at Marcus's feet.

Chapter 20 Analysis

Susannah climbs to safety. The entire time she has the plan to electrocute Marcus. She will then climb through the fish tank to the other room to escape the mansion and get help for Tad.
