Chapter 3 Summary

Susannah's ability to see the undead is a secret. This means that she has to be somewhat sneaky in figuring out who the ghosts are that show themselves to her and whom the people are that she hunts down for the ghosts. At lunch, Susannah asks her friends Cee Cee and Adam who Red is. They say he is a local developer named Thaddeus Beaumont with the nickname of Red. They also tell her that he is the father of the boy she danced with at the pool party, Tad. When Susannah asks about Mrs. Beaumont, her friends tell her that she died a few weeks ago. Susannah gets the listing for Red's business and calls to leave a message for him to call her back under the guise she wants to interview him for the school newspaper.
