Good vs Evil

Tak is a very evil spirit, taking over innocent people and causing them to cause mayhem and murder in a small town in Nevada. To fight this evil, the author sends God, in the form of David Carver, a young man who has recently had an intense spiritual experience. The group of tourists who are pulled into this evil spirit's path are a mixed crew, and the strength of David's convictions gather them together to fight the evil.

Tax appears to be winning the battle, and since this is a horror novel, the traditional success of good in literature could be overturned. However, good does win out in the end. Many are sacrificed first though. Mary's husband is weak, and he is killed immediately. Kirsten whines too much, Ellen comes out against praying, and Tom is an old alcoholic.
