Chapters 49-53 Summary

Chapter 49. Fix saves Dresden by deflecting the shot with his sword. The fact that he's alive surprises Lily. Fix tries to assure her that Dresden is no threat, and she should leave with him to get herself under control. She seems to be at battle with herself, but returns to the task of attacking Demonreach with Maeve. Dresden thanks Fix, and Fix asks if what Dresden said to Lily was true. Dresden tells Fix that he's on the wrong side, and challenges his belief in Maeve with logic and honesty. Fix relents, and Dresden figures out that the circle can't be broken until dawn, so his friends can't help.

Chapter 50. Dresden plans to kill Maeve, while Fix goes for her minions. Dresden calls up the power of the Winter Knight, fully allowing it to manifest for the first time. The Summer...
