Chapter 33 Summary

Bryce Ogilvie is confronted by Dimitri Sulikov and informed that the American CIA had him under surveillance and would soon close in on him and Medusa. Ogilvie is stunned by the information and believes that he is ruined. He learns that Jason Bourne has somehow used Medusa as a means to smoke out Carlos the Jackal. Sulikov presents Ogilvie with an alternative for his survival. Ogilvie is incredulous that Bourne knows all about his operation. He insists that the Medusa that Jason (or Delta or David Webb) knew about is dead and has nothing to do with the new Medusa which has for years provided the Soviet Union with classified information and materials and is, therefore, important to the Russian government. Sulikov arranges to help Ogilvie and his family escape.
