Nicolo Dellacroce, the mafia driver injured in the automobile crash caused by Dr. Panov, wakes up in the Langley infirmary. Peter Holland and Alex Conklin are interrogating him with not too veiled threats of being loaded into a torpedo casing and dropped into the Atlantic Ocean. Dellacroce finally agrees to tell all he knows about the mafia connection to Medusa. About the same time, a CIA agent is waiting to see who shows up to repair the relay machine to the Medusa telephone hotline. There are many of those machines in the building and the agent is attempting to discover which one is being used by Medusa.
