Chapter 27 Summary

The "nun" turns out to be the younger sister of Jacqueline Lavier, a woman who led him to the Jackal thirteen years earlier. Carlos got away then, but Jacqueline was murdered for her indiscrepancy. Now the sister, Dominique, has been caught in the Jackal's web and fears that she will be murdered also since Jason has captured her. Bourne offers her a way out but learns that Santos has been murdered because Carlos discovered his plot to betray him. She sets up a meeting for Jason and Bernadine with the Jackal at the Hotel Meurice, but this time Jason knows it will be a trap. Dominique wants to escape from Carlos, but she is desperately afraid for her life.

Meanwhile Marie discovers Jason's message in the classifieds using the word meemom, a pet name.....
