Chapter 24 Summary

Dr. Panov is picked up in a helicopter and taken to Langley infirmary. He tells his story and Peter Holland phones in to have EMS take the unconscious man at the wreck site to the infirmary as well. Panov prescribes a series of injections to get him to recall everything he said during his captivity. The scene in the hospital room with Panov becomes too much for his good friend Alex to bear, so he waits outside. During the session Panov repeats what he heard while he was under the drugs and this gives Holland the information that New York, or Medusa, is connected with the mafia. Panov comes through the experience weak, but otherwise all right.

A plan is hatched using a stakeout where the telephone routing machine is for Medusa private calls.....
