Chapter 11 Summary

Taking Eddie Flannagan, the sergeant, and Rachael Swayne up to the estate, they view the body that appears to have been killed by his own hand. Bourne inspects the room and removes an ashtray that tells him the General's wife was sitting there watch her husband kill himself. It develops that the General threw Eddie and Rachael together and they were not included in the secret meetings at the mansion. He makes a deal with the two of them to help them escape to a safe place in return for whatever information they might have. Eddie and kept a list of license plate numbers on cars that came for those meetings. Eddie and Rachael have long ago made escape plans, but they need Bourne to have that escape covered. "You simply weren't here,".....
