Chapter 6 Summary

Alex backs off a little from his probe into the current Medusa as he learns that the top man is the Director of Central Intelligence, Peter Holland, the man he had gone to see at the agency earlier. The depth and power of Medusa has Alex alarmed, and he wants to wait for more information before proceeding, if he proceeds at all.

In Paris, France, there is a meeting between an old man, who has an aging and dying wife and what is obviously Carlos the Jackal. The old man is commissioned to fly to the Caribbean for a vacation with his dying wife. His job while there will be to murder a woman and two children. The Jackal, hidden in a confessional of a dark cathedral, is coughing and appears to be seriously.....
