Summary

Chapter 19

Tris struggles to understand Tobias's anger over the test results. She can't understand how he believes it changes anything between them. After the testing Nita speaks to Tobias alone which makes Tris really jealous. Even though he is damaged, Tris sees him the same as she always has. Zoe tells Tris that they are going to take anyone who wants to go, on an airplane ride. Tris is thrilled, but Tobias, with his fear of heights, isn't inclined to agree. They all get on an airplane and head out, where Tris learns that the Bureau uses the airplane for surveillance missions. This is where Tris learns about 'the fringe', which is where all of the people not involved in the experiments live.
