Summary

Lydia is starving, she is running out of duck blood and can begin to envision and feel the end of the duck's life. Sleeping with Ben satiates her a little bit. After they sleep together, Ben finds the duck carcass in Lydia's sink and is disgusted. Ben leaves abruptly to go see Anju.

After Ben leaves, Lydia lies on the floor of her studio, watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, thinking about her childhood friend Ye-Ye, and her mother. She spends the weekend in this position, weak and starving. At one point, Maria, one of the other artists, knocks on her door concerned, but Lydia just lays on the floor and does not answer.
