Peter Charles Stride

Peter Stride is a General and the new commander of Thor Command, which is one of the three Atlas offensive arms. He has lived most of his adult life in officer's quarters, and for the first time is enjoying relative privacy in a cottage he rents just four and a half minutes from the base. He still feels occasional guilt over his privacy despite the high value he places on it. He is divorced from his wife Cynthia, who lives in Cambridge with their daughter, Melissa Jane, and her new husband, George. His marriage to Cynthia lasted only two years.

Peter is thirty-nine years of age. He has a heavy jaw line and his aristocratically straight nose is narrow, leading up to thick, dark brows that almost meet. He was born in 1939 as one of a twin in war time. His family was a military family...
