Christophe DeLisle

Christophe is Joshua's twin brother and the son of Samuel and Cille. The twins grew up in Ma-mee's care and consider her their only real parent. Though they are very similar in appearance, Christophe is thinner. The narrator also notes that “Christophe seemed more of the darkness” when the twins walked together at night (28). Joshua is careful with his applications, but Christophe is messy. There is no explanation for the reason the dockyard calls Joshua for an interview but does not call Christophe, but the messy application seems to be one possibility.

Christophe is jealous of Joshua's job, his girlfriend, and his overall situation in the months after high school.
