Summary

Heidi begins her conclusion by claiming that the Constitution is “doing exactly what it was designed to do … protect the interests of a small number of rich, white men” (73). She argues that the Constitution must be abolished and rewritten to preserve the rights of all Americans and the well-being of both the country and the planet. Finally, she argues for inclusivity – “why should most of us be banished to the margins of this document?” (74).

Rosdely begins her conclusion by stating that Heidi “wants to endanger people’s lives for the sake of some utopian document that hasn’t even been written yet” (74), adding that it is her (Rosdely’s) future that is at risk, and that she is not going to accept that. She argues that abolishing the Constitution would not change any of the problems that Heidi says need to be changed...
