Belly Conklin

Belly is the 18-year-old main character of the whole series and the primary narrator. Belly is a confused, messy, and dramatic young woman, but she has a huge heart and deep feelings, so she makes for a very intriguing protagonist, though she is not always smart, kind, or considerate. In this way, she is almost an antihero, at least as much as could be possible in a YA Romance.

Belly grows up spending all of her summers with her family and the Fishers at their beach house in Cousins. She is the only girl, and she always feels out of place because her brother, Steven, and Conrad and Jeremiah Fisher always leave her out of everything.
