Summary

Part VII is called “Taking Nothing With Him”. During Korin’s last night in the apartment, he couldn’t sleep. Maria came into his room in the night but he pretended to be asleep. She stroked the scar on his hand and left. In the morning, before he left, Korin had another look and the hiding place behind the tile in the shared bathroom.
