Part Three: Incubation: Chapters 37 - 41 Summary

Hiram is supposed to help Tory disinfect the bunker, but hasn't shown up. She starts by bleaching all surfaces and all sites where Coop relieved himself. She is just finishing the floor when the first attack of vertigo hits. Aware she is lying on the ground, some part of her understands she'd fainted. Coop licks her face, and she gets up to feed him, dimly aware that he'd asked her for the food. The second attack hits and again Tory goes down. This time, consciousness feels great. In fact, she feels energized. Tory realizes that she and Coop somehow shared communication. Coop eats, goes back to sleep, and Tory heads for Hiram's to see if he is okay. Ruth opens the door telling her Hiram is still in bed. She tells Hi about her episode...
