Part One: Islands: Chapters 6 - 10 Summary

As they crest the top of the rise, they can see Hiram standing down by the main gate of the LIRI facility with Dr. Karsten. He waves them down and they approach reluctantly. The others are mostly quiet while Karsten focuses his attention on Tory. She stares him down, telling him she is there to see her father - a request he cannot deny. He reminds them again of the places they are not allowed to go - Tern Point in particular, and then tells Tory that her father is busy with an emergency. Relieved, they return to their search for the pack. A man watches from the window as Karsten returns and berates him for allowing the kids on the island, but Karsten explains that they have permission. The man insists that he wants...
