Summary

Delia returned to the cemetery when the coffin was in the ground and the hole was filled up. She said goodbye to her sisters, who wanted to leave quickly. Delia pointed out that her sisters did not keep in touch much and did not speak about anything important. Uncle Filippo did not invite Delia back to his house, even though she had been staying with him over the past few days. Delia was left alone to go back to Amalia’s apartment, pack up, and cancel the lease and utilities.
