Garnet, Massachusetts

In the late 1980s, Miranda and her parents move to the small town of Garnet in Massachusetts. Her mother opens her own medical practice, and her father decides to take a year off to decide what to do with his life now that he is no longer a history professor. At first, the family is happy and loving, but things begin to change once they arrive in Garnet, and a supernatural force seems to haunt the house and force Miranda's mother to become violent and abusive toward Miranda.
