Summary

In Chapter 99, Rodri and Ruth began dating. He became obsessed with her. He forced her to take drugs and was sometimes physically violent with her. He often texted her 50 or more times a day.

One day Rodri took Ruth to a party where he gave her spiked drinks until she passed out. Ruth woke in a room where Rodri was taking her clothes off. She did not know how she had gotten there. She yelled at him to stop, but then passed out. She was naked when she woke up. When she tried to get away Rodri caught her in a stranglehold and threatened to kill her and Matteo.

After Rodri raped Ruth, she kicked him away and ran from the room. Mumble was standing. He looked horrified. Ruth knew he had heard her, but had not tried to help her.
