Goldilocks’ Catering – “Where Everything is Just Right!” – is the name of the catering business owned by Goldy Schulz. Goldy, along with her assistant Julian Teller, runs the business out of the kitchen in her home, and she also owns a small conference center in town which she makes available for group functions; the fundraiser for St. Luke’s Episcopal Church is held there when the church building is closed off as a crime scene after Father Pete is stabbed. Over the years Goldy has used her love of food, her talent as a chef, and her burning desire to be independent after divorcing her abusive first husband years before the novel opens, to lovingly build the business from the ground up.
