Summary

Chapter 27 begins with Aly on the phone with Radha, planning how to sue Joyce. Meanwhile, Aly is sleeping with Ashish again. They start arguing, and Aly begins to tell him how he “didn’t support [her]” when she tried to achieve her dream (273). Afterwards, they decide that they are happy with what they have now, and will not formally get back together, but test the waters and see if it would work.

Bindu opens a letter from Oscar as Chapter 28 begins, very reluctantly, and she sees the “parijat flowers she’d strung into a garland for him” (276). Seeing them, she puts the letter away again.
