Summary

In “Tuesday,” Chapter 14, Greta meets the Fosters and Blooms for breakfast. The couples reminisce about Helen. After they leave for their daily activities, Greta takes her notebook to the deck. She remembers Luke encouraging her writing. When Howie texts about Gov ball again, Greta remembers the “unshakable faith in herself” she once had (129). She recalls breaking down during “Astronomy.” Though she only practiced the song “a handful of times,” it had been “about love and hope and memory” (130). It had not really discussed her grief over Helen, something she was trying to hide. She had been okay during the performance until she saw a fan with a sign reading “Goodbye, Greta’s Mom” (130).
