Summary

In chapter 24, Clare went back to Havana alone. She found a ride with American twins on motorbikes. The twins left Clare on a beach and picked up two German boys instead. Clare got on a train headed back to Havana. In the province of Matanzas, Clare woke up on the train while it derailed. In the aftermath of the disaster, Clare found a group of American tourists that she followed. She hide in their bus bathroom until they arrived at their hotel. Clare, not having a room, sat by a telephone all night. Clare called her mother at two in the morning.

Chapter 25 began with Clare arriving at the film festival while it is wrapping up. Clare spoke to Isa about what she missed. There were no outbound flights to New York for three days, so Clare was forced to see the festival...
