Summary

In Chapter 19, Eve is chastised by Eric for going to the fancier grocery store in the neighborhood. By doing so, she unwittingly went over the food budget. At this time, Eric also asks her out on a date, which is uncomfortable, but she is more concerned about what people would think if they saw them together.

In the afternoon, Eve works on the vegetable patch in the garden with the other residents. Anna is there, and is able to give a lot of advice on how to garden. Eve realizes that there is a lot more to Anna than she originally perceived. Eve has also taken a liking to Angus, who is helping out with the garden, and compares him to Richard.
