Summary

At the beginning of Chapter 14, Eve gets more backstory about Anna and Luke from Eric. She learns that they were intimate and were kept apart because of their family’s wishes. She wonders if this really was in everyone’s best interest, thinking back to when she met Anna and she mumbled, "help me."

While Eve is cleaning the parlor later that day, she learns more about the residents. She gets a small insight into the couple that lives together at Rosalind, Clara and Laurie. Clara’s sister, Enid is coming to town and that makes Clara angry. Clara and Laurie have a short squabble about it. Meanwhile, Anna is in the same room, sitting by the window, crying.
