The Ten Loves of Nishino is written from the first person point of view of 10 distinct narrators. Each of the novel’s 10 chapters is narrated from the point of view of one of the women with whom Nishino has been intimate. “Parfait” is written from Natsumi’s first person perspective. “In the Grass” is told from Shiori’s first person point of view. “Good Night” is narrated by Manami. “The Heart Races” is told from Kanoko’s first person point of view. “The Kingdom at Summer’s End,” is told from Reiko’s vantage point. “Osaka Tower” is narrated by Tama. “Keenly” is narrated from Eriko’s perspective. “Marimo” is narrated from Sayuri’s point of view. “Grapes" is narrated by Ai, and “Mercury Thermometer” is written from Misono’s first person vantage point.
