Summary

In Chapter 75, Tom, who was not really awake, believed he was walking down the street with Nick. Nick told Tom that Stu had pneumonia in both lungs and that it would kill him if he did not get the correct medicine. Nick warned Tom that even if Stu died, he and Kojak had to keep going to Boulder. Nick took Tom to a pharmacy and gave him a variety of pills. He told Tom he had to give him the antibiotic, Vitamin C pills, make him drink lots of juice, and get him walking. Tom cried because he did not think he could remember everything, but Nick warned him he had to be a man. Tom nursed Stu through the next three weeks before Stu was well enough for them to begin their trip to Boulder.
