Tuesday 5th June: Chapters 54-59 Summary

In Chapter Fifty-Four, as the twins and Gilgamesh enter the barn and take in their surroundings, the king talks about the importance of the people who left these objects here; real death occurs when one's life is completely forgotten by others. The chapter ends as Gilgamesh begins teaching them the magic of water; Sophie has her eyes closed and Josh is growing dizzy and nauseous.

Chapter Fifty-Five continues where Chapter Fifty-Four left off. Josh is now flying through the air, observing the power of water from above, as Gilgamesh speaks. The chapter ends as Josh watches the continents flood. He then falls toward the blue water. Both twins wake.
