City of Shadows - 1954: Chapters 32 - 33 Summary

Daniel gets Fermin into a taxi and takes him to the Barceló residence. Daniel had already phoned Bernarda from a tavern to warn her, and a doctor was in waiting. Daniel's clothes are soaked in Forman's blood. While the doctor is examining Fermin, Barceló suggests Daniel got take a shower and put on clean clothes. Daniel is stunned and a bit zombie from the occurrence.

While Daniel is bathing, Clara comes into the bathroom with a fresh set of clothes. The meeting between the two, Clara and Daniel is uncomfortable, but they are able to forgive each other and become friends again.
