City of Shadows - 1954: Chapters 30 - 31 Summary

When Daniel and Fermin arrive at the hospice, the nun in charge confuses them with coffin bearers. They allow this mi identity to continue and use it as a ruse to get into the institution. The place is very somber and the conditions terrible. Once in, they now have to find old Jacinta. Most of the old people are unable to help at all. However Daniel manages to find one old man who will tell him where Jacinta is if he promises to bring him in a woman of "easy virtue". Daniel promises to do so, though he has no idea whatsoever how he will.
