Summary

In Chapter 19, when Cal returns home, he is too busy thinking about what he should do next that he does not realize he is hearing feet running through the grass until it is too late to defend himself. A bag is put over his head as the unidentified men hit him across the collarbone and knee with something hard. A voice, which he does not recognize, tells him to mind his own business. Cal is hit in the face, breaking his nose. Suddenly there is a gunshot and then silence as Trey tells everyone not to move. She orders the men to tell her where Brendan is. One of the men tells Trey to put the gun down. She shoots one of them in the arm. She warns them if they do not tell her where her brother is that she will kill...
