Summary

In Chapter 16, Cal is working on the desk when Trey returns. When he tells her that he thought she was a boy, she defends herself by telling Cal that she never told him she was a boy. Cal tells her a story he concocted about how Brendan planned to make money, but the big drug dealers in Dublin told him to get out of town and stay gone. Even though Cal secretly wishes Trey could help him finish the desk, he tells her that he does not want her coming around anymore. When she does not leave, he asks if she wants money, because everyone told him that was what she would be after. Trey is so angry that she spits on Cal and then leaves.

Later Cal drinks a beer and considers why he and Donna got divorced. Alyssa had gotten mugged...
