Seattle

Seattle is the city in Washington State where Maisie lives with her family. Therefore, Seattle is the primary backdrop for the events of the novel. Maisie resides here with her mother, Angie, stepfather, Jack, and stepbrother, Connor. Her mother has lived here ever since her family relocated from Neah Bay when she was a young girl. Over the course of the years following, Mom did her best to create a life for herself in this location.
