Friendship

Friendship is a dominant theme of James Dashner's novel "The Scorch Trials." Friendship, which includes mutual feelings of affection, loyalty, concern, and compassion between one or more individuals, is shown among Thomas and those around him in various ways.

Despite the horrible circumstances WICKED has forced Thomas, Minho, Newt, and the others to contend with, they look at one another as more than just fellow test subjects.
