Section 12: Chapters 34 & 35 Summary

In Chapter 34: Doughboy Gives Us a Ride, Zia says she supposes Iskandar saw this coming because he spoke to her privately when she and Desjardins returned from the British Museum, telling her she was in danger and he would take her somewhere safe, but she does not remember if he did because he sent her to find Carter and Sadie in New York almost immediately. She does not know how but she has a voice telling her Set's secret name. Carter realizes she is hosting Nephthys, and that is what Iskandar meant about her being in danger: she is a godling too. Zia disagrees because Desjardins would have noticed and destroyed her, and she does not believe Set is controlling Desjardins because she thinks Set is influencing Amos. She agrees to tell Carter Set's secret name but only if he promises...
