Contradictions

When Sara first arrives in Ohio, she is stuck without a ride to Broken Wheel in a town called Hope. While there, she is offered help by the woman who runs the diner. When she discovers Sara is stranded, she immediately arranges for Hank, a customer who is there drinking coffee, to drive her there. Both the woman from the diner and Hank make it fairly clear that residents of Broken Wheel shouldn’t be trusted and that she should keep a close watch on her wallet.
