Summary

Sara can’t believe that she let Jen talk her into wearing a costume, and somehow she couldn’t help feeling humiliated and embarrassed at the same time. ‘The Book of Books’ is what Jen calls her creation but Sara feels like it makes her look like a bookish scarecrow when she sees her reflection in the mirror. All she can hope is that Tom doesn’t show up and make her embarrassment complete. Main Street is decorated, and market stalls line both sides.
