Summary

Tom goes to John’s small apartment over the hardware store, realizing how long it had been since he’d been there. They’d always done their visiting at Amy’s. Now, with Amy gone, Tom was surprised to see that nothing had changed. Everything was exactly the same. John makes coffee and Tom asks him how he feels about Sara staying in Amy’s house and using her books to open up a bookstore next door.
