God’s Promise Christian School & Center for Healing, near Bozeman, Montana, 1992-1993

God’s Promise Christian School & Center for Healing is a school that is run by Reverend Rick Roneous and Lydia March with the intent to cure homosexual teenagers and realign them onto the right path through their Christian faith. Ruth sends Cameron to God’s Promise to finish high school there once she learns that Cameron pursued Coley Taylor and is attracted to women. At Promise, Cameron befriends some of her fellow classmates. She believes that the administration does not know what they are doing because their mission to heal the students is impossible and harmful to them, which is shown when Mark Turner nearly kills himself one night.
