Cameron Post

Cameron Post is a teenage girl growing up in Miles City, Montana. Cameron’s parents die while on a trip to Quake Lake when Cameron is 12 years old. During the accident, Cameron was out shoplifting and secretly kissing her best friend, Irene Klauson. After learning about her parents’ passing, Cameron internalizes a lot of guilt for having behaving in what her society views as a wrong manner while her parents were dying. Cameron struggles to cope with her grief. She isolates herself in her room, watching VHS movies and decorating her old dollhouse. She grows apart from Irene, who moves away to boarding school.
