Summary
In the section titled The Wedding Dinner, 2009, the chapter "Damaged Goods” begins at the wedding dinner where Kismet tells Crystal she does not think Martin stole the money. Hugo informed her that he might have lost it in the crash. Then the dinner begins. Diz gives an awkward toast, after which Eric takes the microphone. Drunk, he starts criticizing Gary, insisting he has issues and that Kismet should be careful. He alludes to the Geists’ company and fortune. He then starts talking about the accident, insisting that he loves Gary but that Gary let him cover for him after the incident. Everyone is visibly uncomfortable. Finally, Eric’s friends guide him away from the microphone and lead him out of the room.
