Thomas is a sixteen-year-old boy who finds himself in total blackness in an elevator that stops in an eerie world called the Glade. He has no idea about how he got there or what the outcome would be. But, he also has no memory of a former life. He doesn’t even know what his last name is. Did he have parents who were worried about him. Would he ever see is prior life again? When the elevator stops, Thomas is pulled out by boys around his own age. He has never seen the boys before the elevator incident.
