Chapter Seventeen

Night was falling. Thomas looked back at the mammoth walls that were now solidly closed. He was filled with terror. Minho was moaning, and Alby was crying out. Alby’s clothes were ripped and shredded. He had obviously gotten the worse of it. Minho was angry with Thomas. He was as good as dead for stepping into the Maze. Minho didn’t want to talk about what had happened. He would only say that the Grievers were good at playing dead. Alby could be dead in an hour. Minho didn’t know how long he had to live without the Serum.
